Mike Li
External Advisor — Supply Chain & Operations Transformation

Mike Li is a supply chain and operations expert with 18 years of industry experience spanning inventory optimization, planning, ERP and WMS systems, procurement, and end-to-end operations transformation. He brings a rare combination of strategic consulting depth and hands-on systems execution.

As a Senior Expert and Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company (2015–2024), Mike was a subject-matter expert in complex aerospace and CPG workflows, including repair/return, reverse logistics, third-party-owned materials, core management, and quality traceability. He created McKinsey's proprietary inventory optimization framework and led deployments across 20+ clients. He served as the firm's primary point of contact for ERP and WMS implementations.

Prior to McKinsey, Mike was a Six Sigma Black Belt at Kraft Heinz, where he delivered $25M in cost savings through transportation optimization, ingredient sourcing, and SKU rationalization. He began his career at Caterpillar, leading SAP configuration and warranty operations for export customers.

Mike holds a BS in Systems Engineering from the University of Illinois and is a Caterpillar Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He is currently Managing Partner of Stocked Intelligence Consulting.

Avyansh (Avy) Kapoor is a strategic consultant at McKinsey & Company's New York office with over six years of experience advising clients on operations strategy, procurement, and large-scale transformation programs.

At McKinsey, Avy has built deep expertise across operations, supply chain planning, and cross-functional stakeholder management, working with clients across CPG, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. His work spans end-to-end operational diagnostics, procurement optimization, and factory-level planning across complex multi-site operations.

Prior to McKinsey, Avy gained hands-on operational experience in factory planning and manufacturing management, managing planning operations across 13 production facilities and driving cross-functional coordination across marketing, procurement, and logistics.

Avy holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and is based in New York.
